One of the biggest differences between Zion and Bryce is that at Zion most visitors are down in the valley and looking up, whereas the situation in Bryce is the exact opposite. The hike along the Pa’rus Trail / Virgin River was cut short, ending at the natural history museum, due to a confusing sign regarding ability to board the southbound shuttle bus at Canyon Junction. Ken and Virginia weren’t too disappointed as the trail was not all that interesting and it was quite hot. Once K+V got back to the Visitor Center, and found their car, it was off to check into the hotel and some much needed pool time for Ken. That night V+K ate at a nice local restaurant in Springdale. Ken was kicking himself for not having his camera with him since the setting sun was making quite a show off the nearby canyon walls.
